Milei Critiques Security Crisis in Buenos Aires

President Javier Milei expressed his concern about the growing insecurity in the province of Buenos Aires, calling it a 'bloodbath' and blaming Governor Axel Kicillof for the recent murders. According to Milei, Kicillof has chosen to make 'political noise' instead of addressing the security crisis, which has contributed to the worsening situation.

In a recent interview, Milei criticized the participants of the march which included union leaders and political figures such as Martín Lousteau and Cristina Kirchner, accusing them of being part of a system that perpetuates the ineffectiveness of the provincial government. The president pointed out that his focus is on work, unlike Kicillof's stance.

The president also addressed the issue of gender ideology, defending his previous comments in Davos and clarifying that he is not against sexual diversity but believes that extreme gender ideology can lead to abuses.

Milei questioned Kicillof's participation in the 'Antifascist and Antiracist Pride March,' calling him 'useless' and part of the 'problem of Argentina.' He also announced plans to close or merge around 50 state agencies and eliminate regulations considered unnecessary.

Regarding the relationship with the IMF and the elimination of the currency controls, Milei stated that his administration is working on a new agreement and that the removal of controls could be realized by January 1, 2026, depending on the structure of the financial program. Upon completing a year in the presidency, Milei highlighted the progress in reducing the state and fiscal policy, asserting that he has fulfilled 78% of his campaign promises.

In his statements, Milei also criticized journalism and journalists Ernesto Tenembaum and Luis Novaresio, accusing them of spreading lies about his statements and promoting narratives that, in his opinion, seek to delegitimize his government. He insisted that not adhering to certain ideologies does not imply being homophobic or transphobic.
